Peace.

Peace and quiet at last.

The hall of the London poor house were never silent or peaceful, for they were alive with the sounds of the children of the poor and the wretched outcasts of the street.

The noise and the tumult were almost unbearable.

Poor Simon. He lost his father to Crimean War and his mother to a grievously murderous injury she had been dealt at the textile factory.

Orphaned at only six years of age.

Destined to serve in the coal mines...

Now he lay among the waves just off the English coast.

Free and at peace...
